KICKER!!!!

This morning when I woke up she was kicking like crazy! I spooned Roy and he felt her kicking his back!!!! I'm thinking a soccer scholarship is in the making!

22 Weeks and Counting

We are past the halfway mark!!!! YAY!!! I can't believe how fast time has gone by. We are more in love with our little girl everyday!

IT'S A GIRL!!!

We couldn't wait any longer. I saw an ad for 4D Peek and they can tell gender at 15 weeks. My doc was not planning on telling us until 21 weeks, so we made the appointment for Wednesday April Fools Day (I was 16 weeks at that point). It was really neat, she projected the image on the wall and our little girl was so cute, a little alien like but still very cute! Her heartrate was 148 and she kept putting her hands in her face. She wasn't very shy about showing herself to us, we knew she was a girl within moments of starting the ultrasound. Roy and I had a feeling she was a girl even though all I have ever imagined myself having was boys. So, the planning begins!!!! Time to go shopping and start decorating!

MOVEMENT!!!!

At about fifteen weeks I felt the baby move! I knew exactly what it was! What a thrill to feel such a tiny little human inside me! The baby bump is growing for sure. I keep getting those looks and some people are getting brave enough to ask. Sometimes after I get "the look" I can just say YES. One girl actually said "oh good, I was wondering!"

Right on Track!

We went to the doctor yesterday and eveything is right on track. I am 13 weeks today so I am over the hump! I rented a fetal doppler online so that we can hear the heartbeat whenever we want, it comes in today and I can not wait! I just hope I won't have problems finding it, my doctor warned me that it could happen. I am feeling better and not having near the morning- or should I say 24/7 sicknesss that I was.

Who needs lunch anyway???

At this point I have developed quite a relationship with the "porcelain goddess". First it was kinda funny, but I actually had my first break down a few days ago. I was so thirsty so I made myself some sweet tea and about 10 minutes after I drank a full glass it all came up. I just sat in front of the toilet and cried. Roy said "I've never seen you cry over it before" and I was like "I'm just so thirsty". So with a pouty face I climbed into bed and slept it off. I almost hate spending money on food right now considering I flushed my $12 salad today.

A bit about the journey....

The road to this has been a very long one. I won't bore you with the long story but to sum it up, Roy giving up his bike for 8 months, 2 miscarriages, 5 failed fertility treatments (IUI), 6 months on Clomid and one surgery later....WE ARE PREGNANT!!! Needless to say, we were shocked. We were at the point of focusing on raising the money for in vitro...for the first time in almost two years we didn't even try! So to all of you out there who said "just relax, it will happen," YOU WERE RIGHT!!!
